School licence terms, in plain words
Version 1, 15 October 2026. This licence covers the direct editions sold on the Adam Hale websites through Lemon Squeezy: the KS3 Science Years 7 and 8 course and the leadership pilot bundle. It is written in plain words; it is not a negotiated contract, and there is no other version.
Who may use the files
- Department licence: the teachers, teaching assistants and technicians of one subject department in one school (one site, one school number such as a DfE URN).
- School licence: all staff of one school (one site, one school number).
- Pupils of that school may receive the pupil-facing parts (slides, worksheets, tests, knowledge organisers) for their own learning, on paper or through the school's own password-protected learning platform.
- A trust, federation or local authority needs one licence per school. For a group price, email the address at the end.
What you may do
- Use, print, copy, edit and adapt the files for teaching and running your school.
- Keep them on your school's shared drive or learning platform, as long as only your school's staff and pupils can open them.
- Keep using the version you bought for as long as you like. The licence does not expire.
- Download updated files for 12 months from the purchase date from your Lemon Squeezy order page (My Orders). Corrections are published there when they are made.
What you may not do
- Share the files, or edited versions of them, with other schools or people outside your school, including other schools in your trust.
- Publish them on a public website, social media or a resource-sharing or marketplace site, or sell them.
- Remove the author and source notices from the files.
How the files were made
The files were produced with AI tools to a detailed brief, checked by machine, reviewed by a second AI model and spot-checked by the author. The product page lists which specialists have not reviewed them yet (for example, no qualified science teacher, school technician or RSE lead has reviewed the science course, and no headteacher, SENCO or governor has reviewed the leadership tools). Check them against your own school's policies before use. Practical work must follow your school's own risk assessments and CLEAPSS guidance.
The resources are independent. They are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department for Education, Ofsted, CLEAPSS, any exam board or any textbook publisher. Public sector information is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0, as noted in each file.
Buying, refunds and responsibility
- Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record: it sells the licence, takes payment, charges any VAT or sales tax and sends the receipt. Its own checkout terms also apply.
- If the files are not what the product page describes, ask within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
- The files are provided as teaching material, without any guarantee of inspection, exam or compliance outcomes. If something goes wrong, the author's total responsibility is limited to the price you paid. Nothing in this licence limits rights you have by law.
