How it was made, and who has not checked it yet
The lessons, questions, practicals, diagrams, documents and markbooks were produced with AI tools to a detailed brief, mapped to the national curriculum and checked by machine. Every quantitative answer was recomputed with unit checks, test totals were reconciled with the mark schemes, markbook formulas were recalculated against an independent model, and a second AI model reviewed every unit for accuracy and practical safety. The author spot-checked a sample of the wording.
A qualified science teacher has not yet reviewed these files for safety or accuracy, and nor has a school technician or RSE lead. Practical guidance is a starting point, not a risk assessment: check every practical against your school's risk assessments and CLEAPSS guidance. Sensitive lessons (Year 7 lessons 7.1 to 7.4 on reproduction; Year 8 lessons 2.3, 4.3 and 9.1) carry notes for teachers; check them against your RSE and RSHE policy. The files were tested in LibreOffice, not Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel or Google Slides.
Single-teacher copies of each year are also sold on Tes. This direct edition differs in its licence (a whole department or school) and its 12 months of updates. Independent resource: not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department for Education, CLEAPSS, any exam board or any textbook publisher.
